The 16th edition of the Med-IT show, held on 28 and 29 November 2017 at the International Congress Centre in Skhirat, received 3,000 professional visitors, of whom 60% were decision-makers (general managers, IS directors and IT project managers).
The theme of the opening of the Show was dedicated this year to Artificial Intelligence, with the presence of Pr Mustapha OULADSINE, expert in data processing and Artificial Intelligence, Director of the Laboratory of Information Sciences and System (LSIS) in CNRS and Jérôme MONCEAUX, one of the founders of Albaran Robotics, creator of humanoid robots Nao and Pepper, and founder of SPOON.AI (new generation of robots).
This conference was followed by a debate on the issues and the impact of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in our society. In particular, the participants stressed the need to quickly set up an international body for the regulation and governance of artificial intelligence and connected objects in the world.
Note also, a conference on Applications and Connected Objects in the service of health, by Professor Rachid BOUCHAKOUR, Director of the Institute Microelectronic Materials Nanosciences (CNRS), member of the working group to the High Authority of Health on applications and connected objects in health.
10 other strategic and technical conferences were held during the two days of the show on topical topics such as Big Data, digital transformation and CyberSecurity. 350 IT departments in public and private companies looking for IT solutions were able to benefit from a custom-made meeting schedule with suppliers at the show. The "One to One" dimension with the organization of qualified meetings, was a real bonus for the participants, not to mention the organization of networking lunches in a high-end and friendly atmosphere.
Regarding the participants, MED-IT 2017 welcomed 80 exhibitors, including about fifty foreign companies from the United States of America, France, Spain, Tunisia, India, Japan, United Arab Emirates.
